naviHEALTH NAMES HARRISON FRIST CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

naviHealth, which specializes in post-acute care management and care transitions for health plan, health system and provider partners, announced that Harrison Frist has been named the company’s chief executive officer. He previously served as its chief operating officer.

“naviHealth has a rich history built around a dedication to patient-centered care, and I am honored to have been with the company since its earliest days,” said Frist. “I look forward to collaborating with our team and our colleagues at Optum as we enter a new phase of care delivery, explore new growth opportunities and seek new ways to achieve our mission of helping seniors live more fulfilling lives.”

Frist succeeds naviHealth’s founding CEO Clay Richards, who announced in mid-2021 that, at the end of the year, he would be stepping down from his role at naviHealth and is now serving in a senior advisory role at Optum, which acquired naviHealth in 2020.

In his new role, Frist will lead naviHealth and oversee Optum’s Care Transitions business, which includes post-acute care, readmission and home health management services.

Since joining naviHealth in 2012, Frist has held several positions, most recently serving as naviHealth’s COO.

Frist earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
