DAR Dogwood

In commemoration of Veterans Day, the Gen. Daniel Smiths Rock Castle chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution planted a dogwood tree at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1291. Assistant commander Vernon Long participated in the planting and represented the veterans during the ceremony. Pictured (from left) are Lynne Drysdale Patterson, Augusta Morales, Henry Morales, Long, Kathy Saine and Julie Brymer. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit service organization that promotes historic preservation, education and patriotism.
