Calling all pooches that need their paws in the water one last time this season.
Nashville Shores’ off-season program will open the pool park to pooches Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
It’s the second-annual Pooch Pool Party, said Nashville Shores’ director of marketing Daniel Stroble.
“We want everyone to come out with their pooches,” he said.
This event will allow dog owners to get their pooches together in the wave pool – without the waves for those who are worried – and just commune and have fun.
“All proceeds of the event go to New Leash on Life in Lebanon, Tennessee,” said Stroble. “It’s a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community.
“It’s going to be a dog day only day. So much fun.”
Last year, about 300 dogs showed up at the first Pooch Party.
“Owners played fetch in the Lazy River,” he said.
It’s going to be a paw-perfect day with lots of wet doggies.
There will be a doggie splash pad, Lazy River doggy fetch area, vendors and booths.
The cost is $15 in advance at nashvilleshores.com/pooch-pool-party or $20 the day of the event.
All guests must sign a waiver and show proof of rabies vaccination, said Strobel.
