“May We All” will debut at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in June 2022.

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s long hiatus is nearly over with the institution recently releasing its 2021-22 season schedule, which features some truly timeless classics alongside some newer smash hits.

It’s a return to form for the world-class venue, which has long been shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With two legendary productions — six-time Tony Award winner “The Lion King” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s take on “Oklahoma!” — the season will also see the Nashville premieres of Broadway adaptations of the modern cinematic phenomenon “Mean Girls,” the 10-time award-winning musical tale of musical revitalization, “The Band’s Visit,” as well as “The Prom” and “Come From Away.”

This year’s “add-on” specials include the world premiere of the first foray into musicals of Florida Georgia Line singer Brian Kelley’s CuzBro productions with ”May We All,” which features numerous country hits and classic standards; “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical”; a play called “What the Constitution Means to Me”; and the Tony Award-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.”

Tickets, starting at $251, went on sale Monday at 10 a.m.

The restart has been planned in partnership with HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health. Face masks will be required.
