Allow us to introduce you to a Nashville Humane Association dog named Miley.
Miley moved to NHA back in November. We don’t have much history on her before moving to NHA, but when we met her, she was living in an out-of-county overcrowded shelter and was unsocial and nervous. Living in a shelter environment was not benefiting her shy girl needs.
Our staff wanted the best for this beautiful girl, so we transported her back to NHA, and shortly afterward, we reached out to our dedicated fosters looking for a temporary home for her. She quickly moved into a foster home after our plea and is now in an environment where her sweet personality could potentially flourish and shine.
Here is a little bit more about this shy gal. Miley is a 1-year-old pit bull/Dalmatian mix who weighs 37 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on shots and is microchipped. If there’s any dog that could benefit from getting adopted to a home with another dog, this is the one. Miley would love a canine brother or sister.
We learn more and more about this girl every day. Here’s what her foster family had to say about its most pawfect houseguest:
“Miley is very loving, quiet and cuddly. She loves to go for walks and does lots of stretching to get ready. She gets so excited to be around other dogs and loves to give them a sniff and a kiss but is still learning how to play. She’s still a little shy, so she likes to have her own space to relax in, but with a little extra love she will pop out of her shell!”
She just needs to be given a chance. On a fun, positive note, she takes the best pictures! Miley is a wonderful dog. She even has good inside potty manners.
Who is willing to open their heart and home to her? She truly needs a patient, understanding and quiet home. Miley would sure love to be given a chance! NHA is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday starting at 10 a.m. Please email foster@nashvillehumane.org and we’ll set up a meeting with sweet Miley. Thank you!
About fostering
Foster families are essential members of the Nashville Humane Association family. Foster caregivers provide care for shelter animals in their home. Foster animals can be with a foster family anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Foster families are a valuable resource used to place shelter animals in homes that fit their needs. If you are interested in opening your home and providing socialization and love to a shelter animal, fostering might be for you.
