For 28 years, David Collins has been a bright light in the Sumner County school system — lifting the spirits of hundreds of students through his music and chorus classes.

The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Band joined the Romanian Navy Band Aug. 8-15 to celebrate the country’s 120th anniversary of Navy Day, playing traditional Romanian songs as well as some of America’s favorites in several locations.

James F. Wren, a 98-year-old Orlinda resident and World War II veteran was met with a pleasant surprise during a routine visit to Thomas Drugs in Cross Plains earlier this month.

World War II Veteran Billy Bradley of Portland, passed away on July 12, 2022 at age 98. He received full Military Honors at Old Brush Cemetery with the United States Army representing the military. American Legion Riders were present at the funeral and at the grave site.
