The Waffle House on Stewarts Ferry Pike was the scene of an apparent drug-related robbery and shooting on Oct. 23.

According to Metro-Nashville police, the incident took place at the restaurant at 707 Stewarts Ferry Pike.

Police said there were two victims, a man and woman, inside a vehicle parked outside the restaurant when a woman driving a dark blue Volkswagen Beetle blocked their car. 

Police said a man got out of the Volkswagen and went into the restaurant to get a second man. Police said the two suspects then went to the victims, got into their car and took cash and a gun. They said the man victim was 19 years old. The second suspect then shot the victim. 

The victim is reported to be in recovery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

Both suspects are African American in their 30s or 40s, and the Volkswagen was driven by a white woman with shoulder-length blonde hair.
