A committee of Tennessee lawmakers is reviewing the state's policies on reducing inmates' sentences for good behavior.

During the Nov. 8 election, Tennesseans will vote on four proposed changes to the state constitution, including adding the state’s right-to-work amendment to the constitution and designating a contingency if the governor becomes incapacitated.

Proposed amendments will appear just below the candidates for governor on the ballot. They will be presented as “yes” or “no” questions. In order to be adopted, the amendments must receive “yes” votes totaling a majority of votes cast in the race for governor.
