Country music royalty and soon to be 53-year member of the Grand Ole Opry Jeannie Seely joined Hale MotorSports at one of the biggest races for Pro Late Models on one of the most historic venues in short track racing.

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour’s Masters of the Pros raced July 18 at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Hale Motorsports is a racing team based out of Mt. Juliet that competes in an array of different races in the late-model touring series of the Southeast and beyond, Hale Motorsports is home to 2017 Fairgrounds Speedway rookie of the year William Hale.

Seely continues to celebrate her 80th birthday with the highly anticipated album, An American Classic, on Curb Records. The Aug. 14 release offers an immediate download of her duet with longtime friend, Willie Nelson, who plays guitar and sings on “Not A Dry Eye In The House” written by Dallas Wayne. “I love to see young people have a passion and follow their dream. This young man, William Hale, was brought to my attention a while back. His dedication, determination and willingness to work hard are amazing to watch as he strives to reach his goal,” said Seely. “The racetrack seems like a great place to social distance and a great opportunity for me to show my support…and just maybe win a little support for my new album. Thanks, William…Start your engine.”

Hale Motorsports president Alan Hale said, “Hale Motorsports wants to thank our friend Jeannie Seely for allowing us to help promote her amazing new album, An American Classic, and if anyone in the music industry deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame it’s her.”

Seely has achieved chart-topping songs as a solo artist, duet partner and songwriter. Early in her career, Seely’s deeply moving vocals earned her the nickname of “Miss Country Soul,” a title that’s still used. Seely’s biggest dream came true when she was inducted as a member of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, becoming the first Pennsylvania native to do so. Seely said she takes much pride in her involvement and support of musicians’ rights.

In 2017, Seely celebrated her 50th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. From her 1966 top 10 Billboard album, the Seely Style, to her recent self-produced album, Written In Song, consisting entirely of songs she’s written, Seely’s recordings spanned six decades and provided enjoyment to country music fans all around the world. In his 2003 book, “Finding Her Voice: Women In Country Music,” music critic Robert K. Oermann wrote, “With her chin-out, tough-tender, heart-of-gold manner, Jeannie Seely remains one of country’s most completely modern female personalities.”
