A man apparently killed his wife and grandson and then fatally shot himself Saturday night at a Hermitage home, according to Metro-Nashville police.

The double murder-suicide happened at a home on Dockside Drive.

Police said Terry Majors, 64, is believed to have shot and killed his wife, Leigh Shea-Majors, and his 6-year-old grandson, Ty Dodson.  He then turned the gun on himself.

Majors’ 4-year-old granddaughter was at the scene, according to police. She was not hurt. Police said she ran to a neighbor’s house to get help.

The investigation remained ongoing with more information expected to be released.
