A woman was killed in a fiery car crash in Donelson last Saturday night.

Metro Nashville police identified the woman as Rhonda Rucker, 57.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Elm Hill Pike and Massman Drive.

The preliminary investigation showed Rucker, who drove a Honda CRV, was stopped at the intersection on Elm Hill Pike when she was rear ended by Kevin Coz Camaja, 18, of Nashville, who drove a 2010 Ford Mustang northbound.

Both vehicles crossed over Massman Drive into a ditch and caught fire. The Honda became fully engulfed in flames. Rucker’s passenger, Craig Marsh, 37, managed to escape but was unsuccessful in removing Rucker from the SUV. She died at the scene, police said.

Marsh sustained minor injuries. Paramedics took Camaja to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with severe burns. He was listed in stable condition. All three people involved in the crash wore seatbelts.

The preliminary contributing factor to the crash was Camaja’s failure to drive with due care, according to police.
