On July 2, 2020, Margaret Ann Robey Barbee passed over quietly at The Waters of Robertson County, Springfield, TN.

She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College in Education and received her Master’s in Special Education from Austin Peay State University. Her life centered around her family, her love for genealogical research, and teaching at Adairville Elementary (KY) and Greenbrier Elementary (TN). As a Christian, she continued to be active at Battle Creek Baptist Church until her health started to fail and then she watched virtually.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit (K.H.) and Margaret Burr Robey; her husband Clarence Wilbur Barbee; son K. Stephen Barbee; granddaughter Ann Catherine Barbee; and brother Dan (Marion) Robey.

She is survived by her children, Clarissa Barbee Parrish, Lester (Ruth Marie) Barbee, J. Brent Barbee; grandchildren Keith (Tabitha) Barbee, Crockett (Chessica) Parrish, Clay Barbee, Chaz Parrish, Jessica Barbee (Kevin) Gann, Jacob Barbee, Emily (Christian) Wright, and Hannah Jones; and six great-grandchildren: Caleb Barbee, Ethan Barbee, Nathaniel Barbee, Sophia Parrish, Aubree Parrish and Harper Parrish.

At her request, remains were cremated and a private service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Battle Creek Baptist Church, 2655 Battle Creek Road, Springfield TN 37172, or to the charity of your choice.
