Commanders eliminated --

NASHVILLE -- Leading 24-12 at intermission, No. 1-ranked Christ Presbyterian Academy went on a 24-10 third quarter run en route to a 64-33 home win over Friendship Christian School Saturday.

With the Division II-A Middle Region quarterfinal loss, the Commanders wrapped up a 12-13 season under first-year head coach Travis Kring.

The pace was slow in the beginning as CPA led 8-4 after one period, but Joe Dykstra heated up in the second quarter pouring in 10 of his game-high 17 points to push the Lions ahead by a dozen at half.

Evan Shiflet scored eight of his 16 points in the third as CPA headed into the fourth quarter up 48-22.

Dillon Turner was Friendship Christian's only player in double figures with 15 points.

NOTE: CPA knocked off Donelson Christian Academy 59-50 Sunday afternoon in the DII-A Middle Region semifinals.
