Bill Burr has a tendency to live up to his ice-cold surname in a side-splitting and insightful way, and he’s just one of the many comedians on tap for the upcoming Nashville Comedy Festival.

Burr will join Bert Kreischer, Taylor Tomlinson, Janeane Garofalo, Shane Gillis, local comedian Josh Black and others April 18-24 for a week of belly laughs during the 2022 iteration of the festival.

It will all begin at Zanies Comedy Club on April 18 during the club’s “New Material Mondays” when a surprise lineup of comedians from Nashville and beyond, sometimes of the nationally headlining variety, will test out new jokes.

On April 20, Black, the host of the 2022 Nashville Comedy Festival, will present the Music City Roast Battle, during which participating comedians will trade insults, hoping to advance to the final round.

On April 21, Kreischer “The Machine” will seek to give new meaning to the term “belly laugh” through his energetic, and shirtless, brand of stand-up at the Grand Ole Opry House, followed by two sold-out shows at the Ryman Auditorium on April 22.

On April 22, Burr will take on Bridgestone Arena during his “Slight Return” tour, while Garofalo and Gillis perform at Zanies with back-to-back shows.

On April 23, rising female powerhouse Tomlinson will perform at the Ryman on her first-ever theater tour, “Deal With It.”

Tickets to all shows can be purchased at nashcomedyfest.com.
